KIEV -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky tweeted on Thursday that he had discussed further support for Kiev with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in a phone conversation.

MOSCOW -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will head a delegation to the Group of 20 (G20) summit in Indonesia's Bali next week, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday.
Lavrov will take part in plenary sessions and hold a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event, the ministry said in a statement. (Russia-G20-Participation)

TEHRAN -- Iran's police have seized 580 "illegal" weapons in the northwestern province of West Azarbaijan over the past two months, semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Thursday.
Of the confiscated arms, over 320 have been smuggled into the country to "cause insecurity and instigate riots," Tasnim quoted Police Commander of the West Azarbaijan Province Rahim Jahanbakhsh as saying at a press conference. (Iran-Smuggled Weapons-Seizures)
