FRANKFURT, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- German consumer goods company Henkel on Monday raised its sales outlook for the fiscal year of 2022 after reporting robust growth in the first half of the year (H1).
Henkel said in a press release that it expects its organic sales to grow by 4.5 to 6.5 percent in the 2022 fiscal year, up from the previous growth forecast of 3.5 to 5.5 percent.
The sales outlook was revised on the back of the company's solid H1 results. Organic sales in the period rose by 8.9 percent to around 10.9 billion euros (11.1 billion U.S. dollars), "driven by all business units and regions," the company said.
However, Henkel noted that its H1 earnings were impacted by the drastic rise in material and logistics prices. Its adjusted operating profit over the period fell by 18.5 percent to 1.2 billion euros. (1 euro = 1.02 U.S. dollars)
