ANKARA, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off the southern Antalya Province of Turkey in the Mediterranean Sea on Tuesday, the Turkish disaster agency said.
The earthquake was recorded at 08:32 a.m. local time (0532 GMT) 189.11 km away from Kas district with 36.10 km in depth, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority said.
Kas town is a tourist resort located around 168 km west of the city of Antalya, the provincial capital of Antalya Province.
Antalya Governor Ersin Yazici said there was no immediate report of casualties, according to the information received so far.
Previous reports by the U.S. Geological Survey said that a 6.0-magnitude earthquake jolted 149 km southeast of Karpathos, Greece at 0532 GMT on Tuesday with its epicenter as deep as 37.84 km.
