Villas-Boas 'shaken' after Abramovich's 'shock' visit

Europe Sun (ANI) Monday 6th February, 2012

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich paid an unscheduled visit at the training ground in Cobham to watch his players train before Sunday's match with Manchester United, which left their manager, Andre Villas-Boas 'shaken'

Abramovich's key adviser Eugene Shvidler and fellow Chelsea director Eugene Tenenbaum accompanied him during his visit to the training ground in Cobham.

The players were left astonished when Abramovich walked out to watch Villas-Boas's training session.

He saw 35 minutes of training before spending another half an hour with Villas-Boas and demanded him to tell him his tactics for the game against United, The Daily Mail reports.

Abramovich has become more and more aggravated with the team's lack of growth this season and was persistent to see at first hand the work of Villas-Boas.

No body in the squad were given any notice regarding Abramovich's visit, who has not been seen at the training ground for months.

Villas-Boas has been under tremendous pressure from Abramovich but he has always insisted having his complete backing.

Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti worked under similar conditions when he was Chelsea manager and told friends life became 'intolerable' because of the pressure on him from above. (ANI)
