Gary Lineker stranded in weekend white out as snow piles on Britain

Europe Sun (ANI) Monday 6th February, 2012

Gary Lineker was caught in the snow blanket, which is currently covering Britain, as he headed home from BBC's Salford studios.

Many drivers were stuck on the M25 and M40 motorways and some were forced to spend the night in their cars.

Hours after 'Match of the Day' presenter Lineker left his studios, he tweeted that he was still on the road.

"Fell asleep. Where am I? Still on M40," the Daily Star quoted him as tweeting.

"I reckon I'm not gonna be home for an hour, then I'll have to head straight back to Salford for the morning repeat," he said. (ANI)
